TOM SCOTT, CA VENTURES
Tom Scott serves as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of CA Ventures, a dynamic real estate company with a multifaceted approach to property investment, development, and management. With over 25 years of hands-on experience in the commercial real estate arena, Tom has honed his expertise in investment, development, finance, accounting, and asset management. He is a distinguished veteran in the field, having held prominent positions across various sectors and assuming executive-level roles in renowned national, international, and publicly traded real estate firms such as Vornado Realty Trust, CBRE, Inc, and U.S. Equities.
A proud alumnus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and is a CPA in the State of Illinois. Beyond the realm of academia, Tom is deeply committed to various community initiatives. His philanthropic support extends to a wide range of organizations, including the YWCA, Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the Chicago Training Center. The latter organization focuses on empowering underserved Chicago youth to unlock their full potential in both athletics and academics through competitive rowing.
In recognition of his achievements in real estate and his substantial contributions to enhancing the lives of others, Tom received the prestigious Arthur A. Rubloff Humanitarian Award from the Anti-Defamation League in 2012. This accolade underscores his success as a real estate professional and his generous commitment to improving the well-being of individuals and communities.
A PASSION FOR Education
Tom's passion for education led him to work with the University of Illinois President's Council, as well as to a lifelong affiliation with the University of Illinois Alumni Association and The University of Illinois Foundation. His devotion underscores an unwavering commitment to the advancement of higher education.
In 2010, channeling his fervor for scholastic excellence, The Scott Family Foundation was created by Julie and Tom Scott. CA Ventures, following Tom’s example, has always supported students and academic pursuits.
In 2012, the Arthur A. Rubloff Humanitarian Award was bestowed upon Tom Scott. CA Ventures, under his leadership, has consistently demonstrated its commitment to improving the lives of others.
